Koolhaas, Rem, Delirious New York: A Retroactive Manifesto for Manhattan, New York, Oxford University Press, 1978, First edition, 4to (11.5" x 9.5"), HB, pink cloth boards w/ black titles in full color dj illustrated by Madelon Vriesendorp, VG / VG- . Edgewear to bottom of the boards, slim band of sunning to bottom front, minor bumping to spine head & foot. DJ has edgewear, chipping, tears, loss at various corners and unfortunately, a lg 1/2-eliptical piece missing (cut?!?) at rear top.

To lessen the effect of the loss we have inserted a piece of glossy black paper stock along the top rear edge inside the archival cover. To best view, please open and maximize the image.

263 pp. Endpapers show b/w map of Manhattan (from 5th Ave to the East River between 47th & 53rd Sts., at least). Profusely illustrated throughout in b/w and color. From the rear jacket panel blurb: "Delerious New York ...documents the symbiotic relationship between [Manhattan's] mutant metropolitan culture and the unique architecture to which it gave rise. Though this book argues that it often appears that the architecture generated the culture."

Prehistory; Coney Island: The Technology of the Fantastic;
The Double Life of Utopia: The Skyscraper; How Perfect Perfection Can Be: The Creation of Rockefeller Center;
Europeans: Biuer! Dali and Le Corbusier Conquer New York;
Postmortem; Appendix: A Fictional Conclusion.
