"This lively story for young readers tells of the everyday activities of Jimmy in his grandfather's grocery store. The book offers simple but accurate information on the conduct of an efficient store and instills in its readers the ideals of honesty, cleanliness, and courteous service. Jimmy has a hand in everything, from ordering the stock to serving the customers, and his constant questions and occasional blunders will interest and amuse young children, while, at the same time, it will give them a clearer and broader view of community life."

Would that publishing today were like-minded.    [Book ID # 2026]
