Selz, Peter & Mildred Constantine (eds.), Art Nouveau: Art and Design at the Turn of the Century, New York, Museum of Modern Art, 1959, first edition, 8vo (9.75" x 8.75"), HB, pale khaki green cloth w/ gilt decoration wrapping across spine and onto rear cover in cream dj that repeats the gilt cover design, NF / VG+. DJ rubbed, .5" tear to top edge of front wrap.

(ii), 192 pp. A thorough survey that also served as the catalog for the first American organized exhibition on the subject of the Art Nouveau movement, its influence on graphic design, painting, sculpture, architecture and the decorative arts. Contributors to the profusely illustrated articles on the various arts are: Greta Daniel, Alan M. Fern, Henry-Russell Hitchcock and the editor, Peter Selz. The broad bibliography by James Grady is divided into three sections: I.Sources & Surveys; II. Monographs and Individual References; III. Selected Periodicals. Following are Biographies of the artists included and the Catalogue of the Exhibition; Index.
