Text is loaded with such gems as these...

On office space: "The popularity of the office party is so great that it is no longer confined to Christmas. Clerks, stenographers, salesmen, executives, and even accountants are finding more and more opportunites for getting loaded together."

On the Family Room: "It is generally accepted that in addition to acute alcoholism, narcotic addiction and navel contemplation, there is yet a fourth dimension to family relaxation--namely the family room, alias game room, multipurpose room, 'rec' room, and what-have-you."

And in a description of diagrams on kitchen shelving: "Arrangement below left, in terms of refirgerator location and door swings, is great for fraternity intitiations, tired blood, and flabby muscles, but as an ideal for efficient kitchen planning fails lamentably. Location of the highest shelf as show below, center works rather well for Watusi tribesman and Tibetan balancing teams, but, unfortunately, all it can afford the average couple is an increased sense of'togetherness.'"

But practical and thought-provoking as well!    [Book ID # 1399]
