Dodge Corporation, 1960, 2nd edition, 4to (12" x 9"), HB, gray cloth bds w/ black titles in black/white/red photographic dj, VG+/ G+. Bottom corners bumped, head of spine worn. DJ quite creased around edges, edgeworn, chipping at spine extremities, rubbed at folds, 2 small losses at rear top edge, numerous small tears to top edges.

v, [3], 327 pp. Profusely illustrated in b&w, photographs (many by architectural photographer,Julius Schulman), measured drawings & floorplan sketches. Expansion of the 1953 edition of case studies of "hospitality" architecture around the world. Editors continue to examine the physical design of buildings, drawing parallels between the purpose and design of a building and its business success. Essays: "Motor Hotels as Building Business," George Cline Smith; "Noise Control Techniques for Motels," William J. Cavanaugh and Norman Doelling; "Today's Trends in Hotel Design," Walter Voegele; "Ventilating Restaurant Kitchens for Effieciency & Economy," Jack A. Wunderle, and others. Some buildings explained: "A Unique Community Motor Hotel," "Louisiana Luxury Resort," "San Salvador Hotel for More Tourists," "Continental Hilton in Mexico City," "Nantucket at Radio City," "Drive-In Restaurants," "New 'Out-of-Doors' Cafe Oyster and Liquor Bars."
