Burkhalter, Jean, Jean Burkhalter, Collection Decors et Couleurs Album No. 2, Burkhalter, Jean, Paris, [ca. 1925], First edition n.d., folio (16" x 12.5"), folio of loose plates, illustrated paper-covered boards with cloth spine folder & string ties, VG / none. Plates are in very good condition, with occasional slight browning, staining or light edgewear . Folder has corner wear, is stained, browned and faded.

Two color title page followed by 18 numbered color pochoir plates of seventy different pattern designs on heavy stock. These striking pochoir plates are beautiful, bright and rendered in brilliant, surprising color combinations. The plates are divided into (two, three, four, five or six designs on each) a variety of organic abstracts - of flowers or plants, in stunning blocks of coordinated colors. Plate #5 has a small 1/4" x 1" piece torn vertically from the left edge; Plate #8 has .75" triangular corner piece missing on the upper right and adhesions that effect the two small .25" areas of image (see lower right image); #17 has a small 1/4" x 3/8" chip to the top upper left corner. This rich and unusual collection of art deco design motifs is fairly scarce.
